Respect & Care
Hazara Shamama Association acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the lands on which we live and work, and we pay our respects to Elders past and present. We are committed to creating culturally safe spaces where women and families feel welcomed, heard, and supported.
We also acknowledge the lived experiences of Hazara individuals and families in Australia, many of whom arrive carrying the effects of displacement, loss, and prolonged uncertainty. These experiences can continue to shape wellbeing, identity, and sense of belonging long after resettlement.
Hazara Shamama Association approaches this reality with care and sensitivity. Our focus is on healing, cultural safety, and strengthening families through connection, dignity, and practical support — without judgement, fear, or harm.
